IS 'BARACK THE MAGIC NEGRO' RACIST?
I'll write a non-political satire song called "Rush the Obese Junkie". There's no way that anyone could take that the wrong way, right? Because it's satire.
"Rush the obese junkie, popped lots of pills..."
I heard one like that on Rush set to song. It was pretty funny.
Of course, if it were only a matter of taking the parody in question "the wrong way," no one would have a problem, would they. Tastelessness does not equal racism. If it did, half the stuff I write would make me guilty of a hate crime.
